Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Language

Your submitted manuscript must be in appropriate, concise, and grammatically correct English. If English is not your native language, it is encouraged to seek the help of an English Language Editing service or professional translator. Once your manuscript is accepted, we will go through a proofreading process to ensure that the language of your manuscript is suitable for academic purposes. Please note that the type of English for this manuscript is "American English".

We encourage the author to closely follow the article word count lengths given in the Summary Table. The manuscript length includes only the main body of the text, footnotes and all citations within it, and excludes abstract, section titles, figure and table captions, funding statements, acknowledgements and references in the bibliography.

Manuscript

All manuscripts must use 1.5 space; 12-point font, with a page size of 210 mm x 297 mm (A4 size). Including the body of the manuscript, references, end-notes, tables, and figures, all material should be no longer than ten single-spaced pages. The total word count should be more than 5000 words and not exceed 6000 words (exclude references, no word limit on title page)

Abstract

Insert your abstract text, a maximum of 250 words providing trial information under the following sections.

First, background. Provide context or background for the study and state the study's primary objective or hypothesis in 1–2 sentences. Describe shortly the theory review of community engagement that has been done. Also, mention and explain the theory that supports your research, especially about community engagement, community services, and community development. Furthermore, the Author may include a hypothesis (if any), which explains the expected result.

Second, methods. Describe the necessary procedures used during the study, including the selection of study subjects and observational and analytical methods. Define the primary outcomes that were measured for each group of subjects about the implementation of community engagement.

Third, results and discussion. Summarize the main findings, including specific effect sizes and their statistical significance, if possible. Include (if relevant) the number of participants in each group, the primary outcome for each group, and any significant adverse events or side effects. Also, please explain the previous research and the relation between your theory and your result.

Fourth, conclusion. In 1–2 sentences, state the principal conclusions, emphasizing new and important aspects of the study or observations in the issue of community engagement.

Keywords

The authors must provide a minimum of five keywords or phrases that identify the most critical concepts in their paper. Examples of keywords could include theoretical concepts, methods used, geographical areas, or common community development themes. Keywords are separated with semicolons (;).
